Blog report!!
Today I interviewed D14 on the subject of where you grew up and found it fascinating that she lived in Carol City Miami for the majority of her life, moving twice but still staying within the same area D14 explained that her childhood would most be recalled in the renovated 4 bedroom 2 bath trailer she grew up in. D14 explained that she very much liked Carol city but it was the tone of her voice that made me maybe think different leading my interview into a more personal questioner. D14 explained that she grew up with her brother and mother and what she disliked about growing up there was the fact that the environment surrounding her home was very negative and had later influenced her brother into street life and hustling and an early age. D14 explained that besides the neighborhood trouble makers there weren’t many kids her age around witch lead her to the “ Libres por la verdad” church were she became an active member at the age of 9 and is now a church leader. It was hear that she found friendship and more comfort. I asked if D14wouyld raise her kids in Carol City and I noticed a pause and a look of disappointment as she answered “yes and no, yes I would like to but not with the surrounding influence, only if things improved.” We went into more dept about this and D14 mentioned her neighborhood pool as a common hang out spot for marijuana junkies and local drug dealers in which she spoke of with a tone of disappointment and almost a sense of anger. When asked the down sides to her home she explained that for hurricanes she’s always forced to evacuate and there is frequent damage done to the home in the event of hurricanes, but what she did like was the rent was very affordable and easy to manage. I asked if she could live in any other place where would it be and if shed trade it n she said shed trade her whole childhood to live in Spain instead.

topic
i have to admit that i am still stumped on what my research project will be about. i have brought into consideration many of my interests to try to come up with a topic but still i am at blank. i figured i really love hip hop and can realate to a vast audience on that but then theres the problem opf finding a question. i do wonder at times if hip hop music affects in any way the success ability of teenagers at a high-school academic level. ive found that often in my own experiances threw out highschool i found myself falling back a little more in academics when i did get really into hip hop culture, i admit when in a scence i became hip hop and lived it my grades seemed to decline along with school interests, but' it was so much so with my athlete peers as well, also i often found a look of shock and even so confusion on my advanced placement teachers faces when i explained on the first day of school my love for the music or when they saw me in the halls with my headphones on or at routine cyphers. even more so when i succeeded in their class room or wrote psychology papers on tupac and compared eminem to Poe in my essays. i believe ther is a common stario type shared by manny older and more traditional teachers that hip hop dumbs down students not only in class rooms but in society. now as of now my question would be if hip hop infact does affect students success rate at an acadeic level.

It common knowledge that at times as humans our perspectives and or opinions will differ to extreames on what is considered to be in reality interesting and in part be worthy enough to provoke a pationate response. it is my opinion that when faculty constructs their ideals on what would be a good reaserch paper becase of these differences there seems to be an impenetrable clash of what the expectation of thought, opinion, interest and most importantly pasion is on the topics thatg are assigned. it is these pasions and ofcourse interests that make up good writing and in all sinceraty i just think that because the subject matter is sooo erelavent to the student the student takes no interest and is liomited to his/her writing on the topic
